ZAP

Zap is an invitation-only workplace app for Third Wave BBQ team members. You can ask us to delete your account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to make that request and what happens to your information.
Email privacy@thirdwavebbq.com.au from the email address on your account, with the subject line “Delete my account”. Sending the request from your registered email lets us verify it’s really you; if you can’t, we may ask a few questions to confirm your identity before we act.
You can also ask your manager or workspace administrator to remove your account — but you never need their permission to request deletion yourself.
We’ll acknowledge your request within 5 business days and complete the deletion described below within 30 days.
When your account is deleted, we remove:
Zap is a shared workplace record. Messages you posted in shared channels (as opposed to your private DMs) may be retained as part of the team’s business records, so that conversations other people took part in remain intact. Where practical we disassociate this content from your profile. We may also retain limited information where we are required to by law, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Backups are kept for a limited rolling period for disaster recovery and then overwritten; any residual copies of your data in backups are removed on that normal cycle.
Deletion is permanent. Once your account is removed you’ll lose access to your workspaces and message history, and the data listed above cannot be recovered. If you only want to step away temporarily, ask your administrator to deactivate your account instead — that revokes access without deleting your data.
For anything about this process or the data we hold, contact privacy@thirdwavebbq.com.au. See also our Privacy Policy.
